Rehabilitation of Colorado Wildlife

Rehabilitators on staff at Colorado Reptile Humane Society are licensed by Colorado Parks and Wildlife.

We are licensed to rehabilitate and release native non-venomous reptiles and amphibians, most often Common Snapping Turtles, Bullsnakes, and Western Painted Turtles.

Please call 303-776-2070 BEFORE transporting any injured reptile or amphibian to make sure volunteers are at the shelter to receive the animal.

This is a list of our trusted veterinarians who will accept and treat injured indigenous reptile/amphibian wildlife. Once treated, the animal will be transfered to Colorado Reptile Humane Society for the duration of its rehabilitation, then released back to the wild if possible. If release is not possible, it will be available for adoption.
