Overview and Link to Care Guide
Blue tongue skinks are large, terrestrial lizards native to Australia and Indonesia. They are named for their distinctive bright blue tongue which they display when threatened. These intelligent reptiles can recognize their owners and often develop unique personalities. Adults reach 18-24 inches and can live 15-20 years with proper care. Their docile nature and manageable care requirements make them popular with intermediate keepers.
