How to surrender your pet reptile or amphibian to CoRHS

Space-Available Sheltering

As a space-available shelter, CoRHS accepts reptiles and amphibians for rehoming depending on our current animal capacity. Because of the number of requests we receive, we are not able to keep waiting lists for incoming animals. We are not able to predict when space may open.

How to Get Started

Please send an email to corhs2026@gmail.com stating that you wish to rehome your pet. Include the species of your pet (Three-toed Box turtle vs. “turtle”). We will respond to your inquiry by email.

Surrender Fee and Appointments

If we have space to receive your pet, there is a $35 surrender fee to help offset the costs of housing, feeding, electricity, and water, while we find a permanent home for your pet reptile. Appointments to receive animals for rehoming are scheduled on Saturdays.
