Overview and Link to Care Guide
Corn snakes (Pantherophis guttatus) are native to the southeastern United States and are considered one of the best pet snakes for beginners. They are docile, hardy, and come in numerous beautiful color morphs. Adults typically reach 3-5 feet in length and can live 15-20 years in captivity. Their gentle nature and manageable size make them suitable for first-time snake owners.
